[Above received from Ashwani Singh Virk with thanks]
It gives me great pleasure and pride, as would all fellow Cottonians feel, in informing you that Karma Tenzin Nyangmi, Old Cottonian of Batch 1998, School Prefect of House Curzon, and Awardee of Full School Blazer for Sports, successfully arrived at the summit of Mount Everest at 1:05pm on 15 May 2019.
It was a 39 days expedition starting on 9 April 2019 with an international team of 12 members, out of which only 6 completed the course, 4 descended from Camps 2 and 3, and, unfortunately, 2 perished.
Karma waived the Bishop Cotton School crest at the top of world!
Many Nepalese OCs here are hoping for a slide-show and talk night with him soon.

The OCA Nepal Chapter EC held a dinner-meeting on 12th July 2016 at Om Niwas – the residence of Nanda SBJ Rana. Before this, the Committee has met and dined twice – once each at the residences of Robin Rana and Prabal SJB Rana. Besides other topics in our agenda, one was that we decided that OCA Nepal should meet quarterly, at least, and OCA Nepal Executive Committee should meet monthly, at least. I will be updating you with meeting/event pictures and important minutes.
I have attached some pictures of our meeting. The following were the attendees; named in the order from left to right as in the group photograph:
Ayush Rajbhandari / Amish Man Pradhan / Prem Gurung / Robina Rana / Prabal SJB Rana / Nanda SBJ Rana / Ashish Rajbhandari / Amod Rajbhandari / Subodh Das Shrestha.
I am writing to you all today with pleasure and pride as our long-pursued aim has now turned into achievement. OCA Nepal is finally official!
On 27 May 2016, Mr. Sukhinder Singh, President, OCA, accompanied by his wife and Col. R. Dewan, visited us here in Kathmandu and witnessed the official inception OCA Nepal.
Lead by Mr. Prabal SJB Rana, batch of 1954, the first President of OCA Nepal, 24 other Nepalese OCs and their wives attended this event. Although small in number, with 47 registered Nepalese OCs, we all Nepalese OCs are very happy to have established OCA Nepal and we look forward to taking our association to greater heights.
I have attached a few pictures of the event along with this email.
We would also like to encourage Nepalese OCs around the world to join us. They may inquire by emailing: firstname.lastname@example.org
