27th June 2015 at London
Sharat and I returned to the UK this last week; our visit was specially linked to the OCA UK LUNCHEON held at the Iconic Bombay Brasserie yesterday Saturday 27th June 2015.
Chairman Kuljinder Bahia, Secretary Gursant Sandhu , Sam Grewal and Puneet Singh (monitoring the affair from his commitment overseas) laid on yet again the Best Traditions of Our Bishop Cotton School.
Head Master Roy Robinson and Mrs Dorothy Robinson were the Guests of Honour – they were meticulously hosted by Kuljinder from India across the heavenly skies to London and back, a noble and gracious effort indeed!

Amongst the Seniors I was very pleased to meet Gay and Christine Niblett, Bob Myers, Peter and Maggie Stringer, Peter Johans and Elisabeth Johans, Daljit Singh Jaijee, Raj Lamba, Homer Gill, Bambi Majumdar and his Mrs, Vijay Bhalaik and a host of the younger generation working hard to lead BCS onwards in their lives, Ambassadors of BCS.
Head Master shared the very impressive Record and Results of our Alma mater.. and recited Robert Frost’s.. And I have miles to go before I sleep as I have promises to keep.
For us Cottonians fame fortune and success is just a bystander of the love we cherish of our Beloved Bishop Cotton School, up in the greens of Simla. It’s the walk through the cobbled corridors, living in the dormitories, mugging in the Class Rooms, debating and acting in the Irwin Hall, playing on the Second Flat, praying in our School Chapel, hogging in the Dining Hall, walking past the fountain, looking at the Grand Clock on the War memorial, hearing the gong in the bell , the last note of the bugler, walking from Boundary Stone to our School Gates and sitting on the first flat benches after the monsoon .. Staring at the Tara Devi Gap .. In pensive mood with William Shakespeare…and learning from our Sirs and Ma’ams.
That my friends is what life is all about.
At least for me..
