The following sad message received via Ms Kennedy – OC’s Coordinator at BCS on October 25th 2024:

It is with the greatest sadness we announce the passing of Old Cottonian and BCS Governor Mr Deep C Anand today (he died peacefully in his sleep).

Our deepest condolences to his wife Kiran and his entire family, and the many people who loved him around the globe.

A two minute silence was held in his honour this morning at the Sports Day parade, and we will be holding a chapel service at 5pm.  It’s a big loss for all of us, may God grant him eternal peace.  Rest In Peace Sir.”

Deep Anand was The Driver of so many productive initiatives for the OCA, apart from the business empire he built.

He gave the OCA a life and a momentum that never flagged under his stewardship. It flourished.

He has our abiding gratitude and our thanks

While may he rest in peace, Heaven will be another place with his forceful presence!!

God bless him.

think we can call DC Anand the father figure of the OCA India. It was he who brought about some semblance and professionalism in our Association,by specially hiring Col SM Jain as the Secretary just to run the OCA India. His generosity towards our Association was well known. All those wonderful lunches and AGMs held at 1 Aurobindo Marg are events not to be forgotten.Had the opportunity to meet him many times.May his soul rest in peace, and may God bring strength to his family to bear this irreparable loss.Om Shanti Om.

A huge loss not only for BCS, but to the industrial world also.
I have some very fond memories of him at School in the 1950s. Also of him & Kiran ji, when they attended the OC dinner at Amritsar, a few years ago.
May the Almighty grant eternal peace to the noble soul.
My wife joins me in sending our heartfelt condolences to Kiran ji & the whole Anand family. 🙏🏼

“No one is actually dead until the ripples they cause in the world die away”.
Our beloved D.C Anand most certainly made some ripples for, “To die completely, a person (DC) must not only forget but be forgotten, and he who is not forgotten is never dead”.
DC is one such phenomena, such persons never die.
The one who invigorated the OCA to what it is today.
We owe a debt of gratitude to him and my beloved uncle the late, S.M Jain as they tirelessly resurrected the OCA🙏
Our heartfelt condolences to the entire Anand family and the OCA and BCS fraternity.
He had a fantastic lnnings, salute 🫡 you!

As I place this wreath alongwith my senior OCs Anil Mehra and Capt. Vivek Bhasin at the feet of this great man, words fail me to describe my Association with him. Almost 30 years senior to me … what was it which got us acquainted with each other. .? Strange but real bond of alumni fraternity
Which all of us share with him.. An icon of the Old Cottonians Association, goodbye dear OC… having worked alongside with you for many years towards the same common cause has been a privilege. …!🙏🏽
