BCS Archive Collection**** Important Notice to OCs
Dear Old Cottonians (friends and relatives of OCs), as we move into the new year of 2023 the School is trying to claw back its archives, papers and photographs. In this day and age we can scan or click on our phones any old archive documents or team photos that document our school’s history. Over the years our precious photos have leaked away across the world. Even one trophy The Bayliss Shield has gone missing from our 163 history – taken home by a student. Please can you all have a look through your archives and share any school history so we can display in and around school to be appreciated by all and ‘for those who’ve yet to come….’ Please send any school historical photos or documents to this email: communications@bishopcotton.com so we can store these to keep for future generations. If you know where the Bayliss Shield is hiding please have it returned to your School, with all best wishes for the future and Happy New Year 2023.

Someone nicked the Bayliss Shield from school ..😟
… phew… someone tucking in the Bayliss Shield outta school shows desperado instincts of a reckless soul whose objectives could be various from a braggingly show-off stunt, a memento to one wanting to create and damage the continuous history of this specific shield..this unfortunately is a serious adverse act bordering on disgraceful embarrassment. Even my die hard Cottonian tattoo on my sleeve bubbles with annoyance.. simmering rage is still under many layers ..yet.
We all can only reach out to this “ bandido” to return this post haste and “ all will be forgiven”.. if this seems to be a difficult task (we would be magnanimous in forgiving)… and if this too is difficult to lose face may I suggest the person who hightailed the Bayliss Shield place it in some safe secure place in India sending an anonymous note to Praveen so that “ operation retrieval “ is orchestrated and the shield
returned home.

That is indeed a pity bordering on embarrassment that someone has hightailed with an entire (Bayliss) shield?! Unbelievable!! I can understand your diehard affliction addiction to BCS ( just as I have) but you cannot ” maro” something that is a part and parcel of the history of our sacred School.. may I suggest the shield is placed somewhere secure but accessible with an anonymous message giving its location so some cottonian nearest to ita location will retrieve it- saving face of the guy who did it … we will then all agreeably resonate ” a soft core prank by a die hard cottonian ”

I’ll do my best to investigate of where the Bayliss Sheild is. It was presented to the School during my school days, I’ve met Mr Dick Bayliss twice, once in BCS during my school days n once later in England in his old days. I stay in British Columbia, Canada presently. Life here is way more busy than imaginable. Every second of the day is calculated n divided accordingly. It’ll be hard for me to investigate but still I’ll do my best. Thanks n take care everyone.
