19th Nov 2018 UPDATE
Last rites (Antim Sanskar) for Karanpal Singh Sekhon, Political Secretary to Chief Minister of Punjab, will be held at 3:00 PM 20th Nov 2018 at Manimajra Cremation Ground (Chandigarh).
Standing in the Sector 9 Market o the eve of his departure, KPS and I discussed the Inscrutable smile of the Sphinx and I also told him that N K Akers was in Egypt and he should try and contact him – I forgot to give him the number – alas . He was such a presence in Sector 9 Market every evening when the Chief Minister was in town . He will be sorely missed , his suave and dashing personality and his ever happy smile was a welcome sight .
Rest in Peace dear friend . Walk happily in the golden fields of Elysium.
Karanpal was a year junior and I remember him well. Shocked at his passing away at a young age. Rest in peace KPS.
We are all always saddened by the loss of a Member in our family : Old Cottonians Association. While I did not know Karanpal ji personally, I do know that he was a “good friend and a good Cottonian.” I offer my Condolences to the family in their Big Loss and wish them inner strength and fortitude in their difficult hour. God grant Our Departed Mate peace everlasting.
Very sorry to hear about my friend KPS Sekhon’s passing away. Rest in peace, KPS. I will always cherish the memories of our times in BCS. Deepest condolences to your family, may they have the strength and courage to face this irreparable loss.
