Mark Wood-Robinson / passed on

Dear Old Cottonians
We’ve had a spate of losses recently, and just got the news of yet another Old Cottonian passing away this 14th. Here is a message from David Wood-Robinson about his brother Mark.
Our condolences to the family.
My brother Mark Wood-Robinson who was at BCS from 1940 to 1945 has just died (March 14) at the age of 86. He was Lighting Consultant for South West Electricity Board for about 30 years and designed the lighting, both interior and floodlighting, for a great many well known buildings, including several cathedrals, in the SW of England. He was an active Christian in a Bristol church and a runner for charity.
David Wood-Robinson [BCS same dates].

Dear David, I am saddened to learn of your brother Mark’s death. Please accept my condolences and kindly pass them on to his family. I was at BCS the same time as you and we were in the same Form and I believe in the same House, Ibbetson. I remember you were the clever one who always came top in class. I left in July 1945 to go to Cambridge and I seem to remember you went to Oxford. It would be good to hear from you. My email is: I live in Somerset. Keep well. With best wishes. Bob Myers (aka “Stoneage”).

Our deepest condolences and sympathies to the members of the family.

I wish we knew more about member of our fraternity. So many distinguished people, so many talented people and we get to discover all that only when they are gone. Unfortunately sad!
