Peter Evans [Ibbetson 1938-44], passed on

Dear friends,

On a beautiful spring morning while the birds were singing their first spring chorus my wonderful husband, stepfather, step grandfather and friend to many passed quietly away.

These last 4 weeks where not easy for him and his death did not come as a surprise to us.

We want to thank you all for your heart warming messages and thoughts.

Peter’s motto:
LIFE MAY NOT BE THE PARTY WE HOPED FOR….. BUT WHILE WE ARE HERE WE MIGHT AS WELL DANCE.
And dancing he did.

Much love
Elisabeth

My heartfelt sympathy to you, Elizabeth, at the loss of your dear husband Peter. AlthoughPeter and I we were not close friends in School I do remember him for his willing presence in all the school activities
More particularly Peter will be remembered for his long and stellar contribution to the
    OCA in the UK.
Blessings to you Elizabeth, and to your family,

    ..Dear Elisabeth,

My deepest and heartfelt condolences on the passing away of Dear Peter ‘Lamboo’ Evans.

It had been my immense pleasure to meet you both every summer at the OCA (UK) luncheon in London; you made it a point to be there religiously.

Peter was a wonderful person; I am sure your memories of him will never fade and you will live up to his motto. I have had the opportunity to see a few of his oil paintings; one in particular at Peter Stringer’s Residence;simply stunning.

What has made me particularly proud are FOUR Pillars of the OCA (UK) fraternity who especially flew down to Amsterdam from London and Mallorca to be with you and attend his funeral; lay a wreath with blessing’s and fond memories of the OCA (UK). Allan Gay Niblett, Peter Stringer, John Phillips and Arthur Jones took it upon themselves to play their part in such a sad transition. I am truly touched with their concerted efforts and shows what Bishop Cotton School meant to all of us.

May God Bless you, your family, these FOUR die-hard Old Cottonians, the global OCA fraternity and Bishop Cotton School.

In Grief, but with My Best Wishes and My Kindest Regards

    Vivek

The sad news of Peter Evans (Lumboo) passing was indeed a shock. My sincere condolences to Elizabeth. Peter was a good pal and competitor with a great sense of humour. Those few remaining BCS friends of his era will testify to this.

Dear Elisabeth, my deepest condolences on the passing on of Peter. We never knew each other, because I was in school much later than Peter. But I always enjoyed reading his bright contributions to the Mitre, to which he was a regular contributor. I salute Peter and his intrepid Motto. Regards, Deepak Thakur.

To my friend Peter (Lumboo) Evans. We knew each other in school, and remembered together , the great times we had there. Your visit to Perth Western Australia with your dear wife Elizabeth together with John and Catherine Phillips was much appreciated. Your OC friends here will miss your laughter and good humour. Our condolences to Elizabeth. From Dick and Joan D’Abreu.
